Old North State 

   2021 – present

  • Class 300 Council

​

  • Total membership 3,400 (2024 = 9% growth). ONSC had zero school access; now, 3 of 10 systems are engaged.

​

  • Moved Friends of Scouting from $400,000 to $650,000, and special events from $17,500 to $68,000.

​

  • An unqualified audit is conducted each year with no significant findings or auditor adjustments.

​

  • Eight central North Carolina counties (agribusiness, industrial, banking, corporate headquarters)

​

  • Camp improvement. Secured major gift and made over $2M in deferred maintenance improvements.

​​​

  •  8 full-time field staff, 3 clerical team members, 2 rangers, and 2 contract employees.

​

  • Led CST in most"stack chart" categories, especially finance areas. 

Coastal Georgia

  • Secured major gift and constructed $3M / 7,500sf dining hall.

​

  • 7 full-time field staff, 3 clerical team members, 2 rangers, and 2 part-time employees.

Director of Field Service:  2002 – 2010

  • Total membership of over 18,000, of which 13,000 were traditional Cub, Boy, Venture Scouts

  • Friends of Scouting exceeded $1,000,000 annually

  • Eleven western NC counties (blend of agriculture, industry, and service trades)

  • 12 Full-time Field Staff, 8 clerical team members, and 2 camp rangers

 

Finance Director:  1998 - 2002

National Finance / Endowment Achievement 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002

  • Chartered Heritage Society and organized the council’s first Heritage Dinner for Endowment

  • Organized multiple professional, community, and volunteer education seminars for the endowment

  • Conducted the Council’s first Endowment prospect survey

  • Implemented the Council Eagle Giving Level program for Friends of Scouting

  • Introduced and organized the Council’s first venture into Family Friends of Scouting
