As your Scout Executive, I will

Develop a shared vision, providing strategic and innovative thought. Collaborate with the Executive Board to create and implement strategic plans to meet the Council’s critical needs.

Demonstrate 100% commitment to Financial Development and Accounting Oversight, fully transparent to the Executive Board and volunteers of the Council at all times.

Build and foster trust amongst the Board, Officers, and staff, understanding that teamwork is key to achieving all goals.

Lead by example. Act in ways consistent with the Council’s vision at all times.

Exhibit strong organization skills with a focus on timeliness of execution, sound plans, and clarity of vision.

Identify technology gaps and implement improvements, and ensure the staff fully utilizes them to carry out the vision.

Teach each staff member conflict resolution to address priorities and overcome challenges.

Maintain the Mission of Scouting, keeping the character development of youth at the forefront of the community and council programs. Ensure that the Council’s existence will be to serve districts, so they can, in turn, serve units, making a difference in the lives of young people through well-trained volunteer leaders.

Be visible in the community. Actively network with high-profile community leaders to advance the Council’s vision.

Strengthen confidence and a winning attitude. Teach team members how to network and recruit the highest caliber community leaders to advance the Council.

Goal orientation and removing barriers to success. Work with the professional team and volunteers to identify challenges and deliver solutions.

Provide first-class customer service at all times to the scouts, parent volunteers, board members, and collaborative partners.

Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and loyalty. Display unwavering commitment to the values of Scouting.

Consistently achieve a balanced operating budget while building units and programs of excellence.

Ensure proper financial controls are in place at all levels within the Council.
